Tech Note: Image Wraparound in Printouts

Products: PrintOMatic Lite Xtra 1.6.5, PrintOMatic Xtra 1.6.5
Platforms: Windows (all versions)

Symptoms

True color (16 or 24 bit) images printed using PrintOMatic or PrintOMatic Lite for Windows appear to "wrap": a few pixels from the left side of the image appear on the right instead, usually accompanied by a black vertical line.

The Solution

This was a bug in very old versions of PrintOMatic, prior to version 1.5.5. Upgrading to the latest version of the Xtra will fix the problem.

If you believe you are experiencing this problem in version 1.6.x, check your Xtras directory very carefully. It is likely you have an old version of the PrintOMatic or PrintOMatic Lite Xtra lurking somewhere, which is causing this problem.

To confirm the version of PrintOMatic you are using, use DirectorÆs Xtras menu: Xtras->PrintOMatic Xtra->About the PrintOMatic Xtra. The version number is in the lower right corner of the About dialog. If the version number is missing, you definitely are using an out of date version.
